STORM weather station begins field tests at UFRA Paragominas
The sisMAP project equipment moves into outdoor testing of sensors and weather data collection.
The STORM station moved from the laboratory to its first field tests at UFRA Paragominas. Developed within sisMAP, it measures temperature, humidity, wind and rainfall to support research on flooding in the Uraim river basin.
Information Systems students participate under Gilberto Nerino's supervision. The work forms part of CSISAAM, funded by FINEP and coordinated by Marcus Braga. Permanent installation and continuous data monitoring are subsequent stages.
